From Cetrotide to Prednisolone
- Cetrotide: is used to prevent the early release of eggs from the ovaries. If you are using your own eggs, it may be in your treatment plan. Administered as a daily injection.
- Crinone Gel: A vaginal gel that is used to supplement or replace your own natural progesterone. Application is once or twice a day.
- Doxycycline: Helps with embryo implantation and also reduces the risk of post transfer infection. Tablet, once or twice a day.
- Estradiol Valerate: Also known as Progynova or Estrofem. Used to help stimulate the eggs to grow. If you have a frozen embryo transfer, then it will help to thicken the lining of the uterus. Tablet, twice a day.
- Gonal F: Stimulates the ovaries. Multiple eggs can then be produced, rather than one at a time. Administered as a daily injection.
- Letrozole: You may be prescribed this to help regulate your menstrual cycle. It improves your chances of successful ovulation. Tablet, twice a day.
- Lucrin: Is also known as Lupron. It is used to decrease the amount of Oestrogen produced by the ovaries. The production and release of mature eggs can be regulated. Administered as a daily injection.
- Menopur: Often used in conjunction with Gonal F. It stimulates your ovaries to help them produce multiple follicles. Menopur contains both FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) and LH (Lutinising Hormone). Administered as a daily injection.
- Prednisolone: is taken in order to reduce the risk of embryo rejection and miscarriage. Tablet, once a day.
